Cvent is the world’s largest provider of event management technology. Reggie has led the company from a two-person person startup facing bankruptcy to an 850-person company that has been profitable for 34 straight quarters. Cvent has helped manage 350,000 events in 50 countries, and thousands of Cvent customers will send $4 billion in group business to hotels and venues in 2011 through the Cvent Supplier Network, the company’s online marketplace that connects meeting planners with venues. In July 2011, Reggie led the company’s first round of funding in over a decade—a $136 million investment—which, according to the Wall Street Journal, is the biggest U.S. software funding deal since 2007 and the largest in the history of the events technology industry.

Reggie was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year® for Greater Washington in 2010, selected as one of Washingtonian Magazine’s 100 Top Tech Titans in 2011, and named a rising star of Washington by Forbes Magazine. In addition, Cvent was honored for the 2010 “Management Team of the Year” by the American Business Awards, and voted one of the “50 Best Places to Work” in Washington three years in a row by the Washington Business Journal. He has been featured in over 100 articles in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Businessweek, USA Today, Forbes, and The Washington Post, and has appeared on ABC News, CBS News, NBC News and CNN. Reggie is also Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Indian CEO High Tech Council (now the DC Chapter of TiE).

Geoff is Founder & CEO of ZipList, and a serial entrepreneur who finally got fed up buying the wrong items, wandering the aisles like an aimless nomad and forgetting his shopping list. Founder of several media technology firms including Anystream and Echo360, ZipList was envisioned to make the tedious process of grocery shopping simpler and easier. He attended George Mason University’s Computer Science program and the Birthing of Giants Entrepreneurial Management Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Eric co-founded TechMedia, which produces technology and entrepreneurial events such as Digital East here, Internet Summit in Raleigh, NC, Digital Summit in Atlanta and the Southeast Venture Conference which will again be hosted at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner early 2012. Eric brings his previous experience in venture capital and the startup community to help continue to foster entrepreneurship in the southeast and mid-atlantic along with the rest of the TechMedia team. He also serves as Publisher for TechJournal.org, which covers the latest trends and best practices in the digital world.

Roy Schwartz is POLITICO’s Chief Revenue Officer and is responsible for POLITICO’s overall revenue and sales strategy. Roy manages POLITICO’s sales teams and executes POLITICO’s long-term business development strategy, partnerships and explores new revenue possibilities. Roy comes to POLITICO from The Gallup Organization where he was a Partner responsible for the management and growth of Gallup’s Los Angeles Division. While at Gallup, Roy consulted with Fortune 500 organizations to achieve better management of human capital, increase employee and customer engagement, and drive sustainable financial performance.

Prior to joining Gallup, Roy worked for MCI, WGCF, (DC based venture capital firm) and Estee Lauder.

Prior to joining Novak Biddle, Sean was the founder and Chairman of Pikum Holdings, which was backed by Virgin and First Round Capital, and which was acquired by The Football Pools. Prior to Pikum, Sean was the founding President and then Chief Marketing Officer at Higher One (NYSE: ONE), where he led the marketing and positioning strategy that helped the firm reach profitability while becoming recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. by INC. and Fast Company. Higher One went public in June 2010 in an offering led by Goldman Sachs. Sean co-founded Higher One while a student at Yale where he earned a B.S. in Engineering Sciences. He also has an M.A. in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
